Karaoke: Colbie Caillat "Bubbly"

Lately I've been doing a whole mess of singing around the house. Now I'd totally be down for a karaoke outing BUT my friends are too lame shy to sing along with me. So here's the first karaoke vlog because who couldn't use a laugh today?

(I figured I'd start off slow and easy so as not to scare the crap out of you. Hmm, that little serious face of mine might do it anyway though.)

  1. This is wonderful! :)

You are so brave. I don't even like hearing my own voice on video, let alone singing.

More please. Do you take requests? :)

  2. Ha, I just figured, eh, why not? I've no shame clearly.

And yes, request away. I'll consider it if I like it.

  5. Awesome! My kids were watching with me and my son was all "is that a mop? Why does she have a mop?"

    Very cute

  6. Oh no, I've banned the mop to the closet. I'm all about my Swiffer. Makes a better mike stand.

  7. Love that song. And if I could sing like you I'd do a music vlog too. You're darling, Colbie watch out!

Stopping by from SITS to say hello!

  8. The swiffer was an ideal choice for a microphone. I am also digging the tshirt. Well played, chica. Well played.

  9. I could never do that. I simply hate my voice, really didn't enjoy talking on mic when I used to be a streamer.... but everyone else like hearing me.

  12. Awesome! You are so brave. I'm with your friends on this one though, I would definately be hiding in the corner refusing to sing alone.

  13. And you didn't link to 'Out of Tune Tuesday'? Although, you're WAY more in tune than my stuff!! GO link it up at my site now! More people need to see this!

  14. Wow, that swiffer is a really good microphone... who'd of thunk it. I was thinking - when you hit the nightclubs, I wanna be a bouncer there to help keep the unruly and "uncool" people out.

:) Hey you...always know that you make me smile.

  15. I find I more easily befriend the type of people who enjoy karaoke. They just enjoy the energy in life more! Even people who can't sing but get a kick out of it are endearing in their own way ;)

I liked your singing though, you have a cute quality to your voice, but would have preferred a more upbeat song. (Check me out, going all Simon Cowell!) Some Alicia Keys could work really well for you? You got some pretty good sounds out of that mop handle though!

p.s. you look so much younger on youtube than in your picture!

  16. jules, thanks for the heads up. I went right over and linked it. Yours was pretty hilarious!

intense guy, hello, then I wouldn't be able to get in myself!

stephen, oh, think you can do better? I double dog dare you ;)

And yeah, I wasn't trying to choose a picture where I looked as young as I usually do!
