Smart Fast Food Choices

Can't stay away from fast food? Join the club. Good thing is you don't have to feel guilty about it. There are ways to make smart choices when grabbing food on the go. It's all about sticking to a plan and following through regardless of whether you're cooking dinner at home or grabbing a quick bite at Mickey D's.

  1. so should i somehow get rid of the McChicken & fries I stuffed earlier today??

  2. Just becareful of the dressings! That's where ALOT of the fat comes in. Use only 1/3 to 1/2 the packet ;). And dont do their breakfasts. Did you know that several of the breakfasts at Hardees run 30 grams of hat and higher? The one that I would most likely pick is actually 51 grams of FAT!! The "healthiest" thing on their breakfast menu (besides oj) is the cinnamon biscuit at 20 grams of fat.

  3. I love fast food! Even though it tends to make me rather sick... but oh, it tastes so good! haha. I try to avoid it anyhow. ;)

  4. I'm lucky in that I don't really like fast food that much, and the stuff I do like tends to be on the healthier side of things anyway.

    Not that that helped my weight any...I just found other stuff to stuff myself with! :lol:

  5. I used to go out to lunch a lot, but I don't anymore because of money. I just need to work on eating more fruits and icky veggies.

    s-c, I used to be a fast food junkie, but I've cut back tremendously over the past five or six months. Now whenever I do have it, it makes me sick too!

    lainey, well at least you were smart enough to choose healthier options. I didn't grow up making sure I got my daily fruits and veggies, so now that I'm on my own I have to learn how to keep those in mind and eat healthier. Still working on it!

    chicagolady, yeah I need to cut back on eating out for lunch. I usually bring left overs, but when I have to buy it sets me back a pretty penny because everything on Times Square is so expensive.

    valerie, the smell of fries does me in every time...

  10. I will say that my trips to Mc'D's ended a while ago. But I'm a sucker for Taco Bell!!

    kelley, I actually hate taco bell. I've only had it once, but I'm just not a fan of Mexican food. I'll only really eat fajitas if I can create them myself. And I can't handle spice at all.
